Michael Edwards & Co. takes reasonable steps to ensure the security, integrity, and privacy of personal information submitted to this website and in our possession. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.

  • When credit card details are submitted for a website purchase, they are encrypted automatically with all data in transit protected by 256-bit–strength encryption SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology and are deleted once the sale has been processed.

However, no data transmission over the Internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be totally secure. While we aim to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, or our transmissions to you, and you do so at your own risk.

Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) Scheme:
In the event of an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will comply with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, which includes notifying the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals as required.

7. Access to and Correction of Your Personal Information (APPs 12 & 13)

You have a right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request its correction if you believe it is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading.

To request access or correction, please contact our Privacy Officer using the details provided below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable period. We will not charge you for making a request to access or correct your information, but we may charge a reasonable fee for providing access if it requires significant effort.

In certain limited circumstances, as permitted by the APPs, we may refuse access or a correction request. If we do, we will provide you with a written notice setting out the reasons for the refusal (unless it would be unreasonable to do so) and the mechanisms available to complain about the refusal.

The statement "Any changes to your personal details that you communicate to Michael Edwards & Co. will only relate to the ordering of an item from the Michael Edwards & Co. Online Store (ie change of delivery address)" is no longer applicable under this revised policy, as individuals have broader rights to access and correct all personal information held.

8. Direct Marketing (APP 7)

We may use your personal information to provide you with information about our products, services, or special offers that we think may be of interest to you.
